Description
This is an image of a 1932 Buick model 67. As far as classic cars and antique cars go an absolute masterpiece. Buick did not skimp or scrape when it came to the Chrome and styling of this vehicle. This is a 4 door vehicle with to standard front doors and the rear "suicide doors" that swing open toward the rear of the vehicle. These types of doors were common in the pre-war cars. The Buick line is the oldest line of American cars that are still in production. The 60 series came with an inline 273 cubic inch 8 cylinder motor with overhead valves and a synchromesh transmission. The motor produced 90 Brake Horsepower.
It was manufactured during the great depression (1929-1939). Not only was this car manufactured while the great depression was in full swing but it was manufactured while the country was still reeling from the stock market crash. There were 8000 Buick model 67's built in 1932 and the average base price was $1,233.00. This was at a time when the average annual salary was $1,368.00. The car would have costed the equivalent of $21,500.00 in today's dollars.
With that said, had you pulled into your neighborhood, no matter what neighborhood you lived in, you would definitely got people's attention with this classic car. Beauty and style the Buick 60 series did not lack, that is for certain. Although I am rather certain that the original door tag called for beige paint on this beauty, when the car was restored, the owners opted to go with a 2 tone body paint scheme. This proved to be an excellent choice and it really shows off the magnificent lines and work of this antique car.
This 1932 Buick model 67 is one show stopping car and was a joy to see and photograph.
