Description
This is an image of a 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 painted Dark Green.
The 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 is a classic American muscle car produced by Ford Motor Company. It was part of the second generation of Mustangs, commonly referred to as the "Mustang II" or "Mach 1" generation. The Boss 351 was a high-performance variant of the Mustang, designed to compete with other muscle cars of the era.
The Boss 351 was powered by a 5.8-liter (351 cubic inch) Cleveland V8 engine, which was the largest engine available in a Mustang at the time. It produced 330 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the most powerful Mustangs of its era. The engine featured high-flow cylinder heads, a high-lift camshaft, and a four-barrel carburetor.
In terms of styling, the Boss 351 had a unique front grille, a functional "ram air" hood scoop, and distinctive side stripes. It also featured a front spoiler, rear deck spoiler, and dual exhausts. The interior had bucket seats and a range of optional features, including power windows, air conditioning, and an upgraded stereo system.
Only 1,806 Boss 351 Mustangs were produced for the 1971 model year, making it a relatively rare and sought-after collector's car today. It was the last Mustang to carry the "Boss" name until the reintroduction of the Boss 302 model in 2012.
