This is an image of A 1999 Shelby Series 1. The Series 1 is the only vehicle solely designed and built by Carroll Shelby. Previously Shelby re-engineered other cars initially built by other manufacturers, such as Ford and Dodge. The key person in the transition to Dodge was Lee Iacocca, who had moved from Ford to Dodge. Caroll Shelby worked with Dodge from 1980 to 1990. After the production run of the Shelby 1, Caroll Shelby began working with Ford again.
