This is a vintage Mobiloil sign.

Mobile Oil Corporation, also known as Mobil, was an American oil company that was founded in 1911 and was headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia. The company was originally called the Standard Oil Company of New York and was a subsidiary of the Standard Oil Trust.

In 1920, the company changed its name to Socony-Vacuum Oil Company, after a merger with the Vacuum Oil Company. In 1931, the company was renamed again to Socony-Vacuum Corporation.

In the 1950s, the company began to use the Mobil brand name for its products and operations. The name was derived from "Mobiloil", a brand of motor oil that the company had been producing since 1917.

Mobil continued to expand its operations throughout the 20th century, becoming a major player in the oil and gas industry. The company established refineries and chemical plants around the world, and its products were sold in more than 100 countries.
