Apple computers were revolutionary in the late 1970s and early 1980s for several reasons:

User-Friendly Interface: The Apple II computer, released in 1977, was the first mass-market computer to offer a user-friendly interface. It used a graphical user interface (GUI) that allowed users to interact with the computer using a mouse and icons, rather than typing in commands.

Affordable: At the time, most computers were expensive and primarily used by businesses and academic institutions. Apple aimed to make computers accessible to the average person by making their products affordable. The Apple II, for example, sold for $1,298, which was significantly cheaper than other computers on the market.

Third-Party Support: Apple was the first computer company to encourage third-party developers to create software for its platform. This led to a wide range of applications being developed for the Apple II, including games, word processors, and spreadsheets.
