A single leaf hanging on to its host tree in mid winter in West Virginia. The day this image was captured I had hiked for several hours. It was a very unusual day, normally you see some sort of wildlife birds, small mammals or something but for whatever reason the woods were as barren as this tree. Sometimes it is the the journey in photography that is the most important and not necessarily capturing a successful image of the subject you were looking for.
